Hindola Darshan 2026

Hindola Mahotsav (हिंदोला महोत्सव), also called Hindola Utsav or Jhulan Purnima, is a vibrant swing festival celebrated primarily in Vaishnav and Swaminarayan temples across India and around the world during the monsoon months of Ashadh–Shravan (July–August).

For about one month, the small deity of Swaminarayan or Krishna is placed on a beautifully decorated swing (hindola) and gently rocked daily.

Elaborate swings are crafted with fresh flowers, fruits, vegetables, silk, metals, and even rakhis, with each day showcasing a different theme or decoration.

During swing sessions, devotees sing hindola bhajans, perform aarti, and play mrudang, cymbals, and manjira, creating an atmosphere of deep bhakti and festive joy.

The swinging motion symbolizes life’s ups and downs and serves as a metaphor for spiritual balance and divine bliss.
